Core Competency:

Microevolution, speciation research, gene-specific neutral vs. adaptive genetic variation under various selection regimes, correlated evolution among linked/unlinked genes coding for various traits, stochastic genetic selection models

Contribution to Work Programme:

WP1.2: advanced phylogenetic tools for genotype comparisons.

WP1.3: Network/pathway analysis (together with Partner 10), WP1.4: stochastic simulation of selection processes;

WP4.4: analysis of neutral vs. adaptive genetic variation as well as correlated evolution among photosynthesis-related proteins, both on macroevolutionary (Chlamydomonas vs. higher plants) and microevolutionary (within model species) scale. The major contribution of this partner will be to WP1.

GoFORSYS Publications of the Group

The group recently published many articles on evolutionary biology. Publications from this project are under way.
