Project PartnersProf. Dr. Bernd Müller-Röber
Institute of Biochemistry and Biology / Molecular Biology Core Competency:Functional analysis of plant genes regulating plant growth and biomass accumulation, analysis of natural and transgenic variation (Arabidopsis) with respect to leaf growth and development, transcriptional profiling using comprehensive quantitative RT-PCR; gene identification. Contribution to Work Programme:WP1: transcript profile data (WP3; Chlamydomonas; WP4, Arabidopsis) and plant growth / architectural data (WP4) will be provided. WP2.1 and WP2.2: Quantification of proteins and analysis of protein turnover (together with Weckwerth, for WP3.1, 3.2, 4.1 and 4.4) using QCATs; WP3.1: Genetic manipulation of Chlamydomonas for refinement and testing of models developed in WP2.1. WP4: Transcript profiling and protein quantification in sub-work packages 4.1 and WP 4.4 (of plants selected in WP4.3). The major contribution of this partner will be to WP3.
